Emergency & Urgent Care Policy

Nexus Health PC provides scheduled medical services and does not operate an emergency department or emergency response service. Website messages, ordinary email, voicemail, routine telehealth, and prescription-refill requests should not be used for emergencies.

Urgent concerns

A clinician may determine that a patient's symptoms require emergency evaluation, urgent in-person assessment, diagnostic testing, or another level of care. Patients should follow emergency or urgent-care instructions promptly.

After-hours communications

Routine communications and refill requests are handled through established practice workflows. A message left after hours should not be assumed to have been reviewed until the practice responds.
